Missing Tooth: Denture, Bridge or Implant?

By the Wellcrysta Dental team

When a tooth is lost, neighbouring teeth can drift into the gap and the opposite tooth can over-erupt over time.

Removable denture: a plate with false teeth that you take out for cleaning. Usually the lowest-cost option.

Bridge: a false tooth fixed to crowns on the teeth on either side. Those teeth need to be trimmed.

Implant: a post placed in the jawbone with a crown on top. It does not involve the adjacent teeth, but needs enough bone and healthy gums.

The right choice depends on your bone, gums, general health and budget. The dentist explains options and costs after an examination.
